
Thomas Ong – Lead Forensic Delay Analyst
Thomas Ong is a seasoned planner and delay analyst with over 23 years of experience in main contracting, project delivery partner, and claims consultancy. He has worked extensively across Malaysia on major infrastructure and high-rise developments. His expertise lies in forensic delay analysis, programme planning and scheduling and the preparation of expert reports for arbitration proceedings and other dispute resolution services. His project portfolio includes MRT2, LRT3, PNB 118 – Merdeka Mall and several high-rise developments.
He holds an Honours degree in Civil Engineering (Construction Management) and is a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), an ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE) and a Professional Technologist in Building and Construction Technology under the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT). He is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), a Member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) and a Member of the Malaysia Society for Engineering & Technology (MySET).
Thomas is also an empanelled expert with the Borneo International Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (BICAM) and an HRD Corp-certified trainer. In 2022 he was recognised in Who’s Who in Engineering Malaysia, 1st Edition, Vol. 1 (2022) by the BEM where he is valued for his analytical rigour and technical expertise.
