Omar Abuafifeh is an Environmental and Social Specialist with two years of experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, water and wastewater projects across Jordan. He has expertise in preparing, reviewing and coordinating environmental and social deliverables, including impact assessments, technical studies, management plans, lender requirements and environmental and social action plans, in accordance with national regulations and international standards, including those of USAID, the EBRD, the IFC and the World Bank.

Omar has supported major infrastructure projects through environmental and social compliance, mitigation and monitoring frameworks, while contributing to business development, tender reviews, multi-disciplinary proposals and client engagement.

Omar holds an MSc in Engineering Project Management and a BEng in Civil Engineering. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP®) certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and has completed specialised training in community engagement, construction project management and project risk management. He is fluent in both Arabic and English.
