Following the success of Quantum’s recent Donate a Day and in conjunction with the formal opening of Maktaba Children’s Library, Quantum officially opened the Hadiqati Children’s Garden within Maktaba’s library grounds.

The Hadiqati (garden in Arabic) is open to Maktaba library members during open hours and the library already has plans to start a new children’s garden club over the coming weeks.

“At Quantum we want to undertake CSR initiatives that leave a lasting legacy for Qatar. The Hadiqati garden is a perfect example of this philosophy where our team of employee volunteers came together to create a long-term, sustainable working garden space for Maktaba library members. We look forward to seeing the fruits and vegetables grow and the upcoming children’s garden club becoming a great attraction for the library’s children,” said Peter Murphy, Quantum Managing Director.

Quantum’s Q-munity CSR programme, started in 2013 and is aligned to the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Qatar National Development Strategy 2011–16. The programme aims to actively add long-term value within the community by interacting with local organisations and supporting health, sport, community and educational initiatives.
