Andrew Woodward, Quantum Global Solutions (QGS) Executive Director recently presented a series of internal training events at the Radisson Blu focusing on delivery of core QGS services.  This included presentations on undertaking Stage One Reviews, commonly known as Peer or Cold Eye Reviews and Stage Two – delivery of detailed claim entitlement submissions carried out for our clients on construction projects.

The initial workshops provided a guide on the best approach and strategy for delivering thorough reviews, efficiently whilst maintaining the highest level of quality.  The focus of the presentation was on the process for delivery, division of tasks between team members and a detailed discussion on common pitfalls and frequent client issues.  The goal is to ensure that the peer review captures the key issues and recommended strategy to move forward towards resolution.

The later workshops focused extensively on several contentious topics including the use of Skeleton Delay Analysis, pitfalls with Time Impact Analysis as a methodology, delay analysis to focus on resource deployment and not a blind focus on P6 logic.  A key focus area discussed was the requirement for a joined up team-focused delivery, progress reporting within QGS and keeping our clients informed.

The training sessions sparked a healthy debate amongst the QGS team and provided an opportunity to discuss what priorities are, issues faced, what is achievable and what QGS believe is a successful Stage One Review and Stage Two delivery.

QGS look forward to the development of ideas raised during the evening and further presentations by other team members in the near future.
