
Lina Al Ghussien – Senior Contractual / Commercial Consultant
Lina brings more than 11 years of focused experience within the construction industry, working across major, multi-billion dollar programmes in the MENA Region and Kazakhstan. She combines a solid civil engineering background with advanced expertise in construction law, commercial management and dispute resolution.
Her experience spans the full project lifecycle, from pre-contract strategy and procurement through to post-contract administration, claims management, and final account close-out. Lina has extensive experience advising employers, contractors and consultants on complex and fast-paced projects, with particular strength in the administration of both standard form and bespoke contracts, including FIDIC-based forms. Her expertise includes drafting, negotiation and ensuring contractual compliance in line with the applicable governing law and project-specific contractual frameworks.
Lina specialises in the preparation, assessment, and defence of construction claims, including extensions of time, variations, disruption, and cost entitlements. She is equally experienced in reviewing and responding to opposing parties’ claims and preparing structured rebuttals. In addition, Lina contributes to the preparation of expert reports in arbitration and dispute proceedings, supporting the development of technical and contractual positions and quantum assessments.
Lina holds an MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution (with Merit) and a BSc in Civil Engineering. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and a member of the Jordan Engineers Association.
