Quantum team members recently undertook inhouse training on ‘TIA Analysis and Particularising Prolongation Costs’ conducted by Associate Director David Lomax.
Key elements of the technical presentation included the SCL Delay and Disruption Protocol (2017 – 2nd Edition, Windows (time slice) delay analysis, discussion on the FIDIC 1999 Red Book which calls for monthly windows analysis, arguably at any rate – how do we get around the problem, the contrasting position between FIDIC 1999 and, for example, NEC3, which indicates a TIA approach, the outline of the usual procedure and providing details of how the methodology worked during a project in Kuala Lumpur including complications involving acceleration, recovery programmes not based around delay in any previous time, date and activity.
The presentation was attended by the Doha office team as well as members of the Quantum team from the UAE, Turkey and Jordan who joined the presentation via Skype.
