At the invitation of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Novus Team, Duan van der Merwe, Quantum Forensic Planning Consultant recently attended the CIOB Members’ Forum 2017 in the capacity of a Novus Representative to represent CIOB Novus members across the Middle East & North Africa region.
The week-long Members’ Forum held from the 18th to the 22nd of June in Cardiff, Wales includes a series of workshops, site visits, the Institute’s Annual General Meeting, a Presidential dinner and the Members’ Forum. The Members’ Forum acts as a consultative Forum to the CIOB’s Board of Trustees, creating templates for best practice, developing strategies for improving engagement and communication with membership and public at large, identifying and addressing drivers for change that are relevant to the industry and to act as a sounding board for the Board of Trustees and it’s Committees of Governance.

The event was a unique opportunity to meet global CIOB members and discuss many topical issues that are affecting our industry and share our individual experiences to help form future industry guidelines and recommendations,’’ said Duan after the event.
