As part of Quantum Global Solutions (QGS) committment to the community and in line with their corporate Donate a Day programme the company recently sponsored QGS Associate Director, Jon Sanderson during his recent Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon.
QGS Q’munity programme aims to support worthy non-profit organisations in Qatar and support its employees through instilling a corporate culture of volunteering and contributing to the society in which we live and work.
Speaking after the race, Peter Murphy, QGS Managing Director said, “When we heard Jon was participating in the Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon we though this was a great opportunity to connect his love of sport with our corporate sponsorship of Maktaba Children’s Library. To give Jon the extra incentive to complete the run and as part of our Maktaba partnership our employees were given the opportunity to sponsor John by donating a book for every mile Jon completed. QGS also donated a book per mile and matched employees book donations”.
Jon Sanderson also noted, “Running a half marathon is challenging, however knowing that every mile meant another donation to the Maktaba Children’s Library made the pain worthwhile! I look forward to donating the books collected to the library in the near future”.
