Sam is a highly experienced Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Certified Quantity Surveyor and HRD Corp Certified Trainer with over 25 years of experience in the field. At senior management level, he has a proven track record in quantity surveying, cost management, commercial and contract management, claims management and project/programme management. He excels in leading and coaching teams and in overseeing projects from inception through to completion.

He has worked across the UK, Malaysia and Australia in independent professional quantity surveying firms, multi-disciplinary practices, main contracting organisations and construction claims consultancies with experience spanning a wide range of sectors including rail, infrastructure, commercial, retail, residential, hotel and leisure project. He is recognised for his creative problem-solving, strong business acumen, and negotiation skills and is highly regarded for his expertise in contract management, claims management and dispute resolution.

Sam holds an MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution, along with a First Class BSc (Hons) and a Diploma in Quantity Surveying. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), a Member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (MAIQS) and the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (MRISM) and is both a Chartered and Certified Quantity Surveyor. He has served as an APC Chairman, Assessor and Mentor for RICS and AIQS. He is also empanelled as an Expert Determiner with the Borneo International Centre for Arbitration and Mediation and has undertaken various assignments as lead assistant to Party-Appointed Quantum Experts in Malaysia.
