Quantum Global Solutions (QGS) recently participated in the Society of Construction Law (Hong Kong) at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, Hong Kong.
Steve Beaumont, a QGS Executive Director presented his talk on ‘NEC3 Lessons Learned’ to an audience of Hong Kong construction industry professionals. The presentation was timely in that the Hong Kong Government are currently adopting the NEC3 as the Construction and Engineering Contract of choice and will be rolling out all new projects through 2015 using this form of Contract. QGS has extensive experience using this contract and understands how it works, appreciates the difficulties and challenges it presents. The seminar discussed the history of the NEC, the suite of contracts within the NEC and the key mechanisms which contractors need to be aware of to successfully manage this contract. These included early warnings, the schedule of cost components and the importance of programmes and programme updates.
QGS is acknowledged as one of the leading management consultants dedicated to serving the interests of the international construction and engineering industries. In addition to regular industry presentations, QGS is also actively involved in the presentation of training courses and mentoring programmes.
