Quantum Global Solutions recently shared its market insights on the Middle East’s construction claims industry at the September meeting of the Spanish Business Council Qatar (SBC), held at the Hilton Hotel, Doha.

Participating in the evening of presentations, QGS’s Operations and Technical Director, Tom Kapapa, shared his practical and technical experience with an audience of SBC members by delivering a talk on ‘Contracting Tips in the Middle East’.  The presentation included an in depth discussion on the common problems that lead to claims here in the Middle East and specifically how such claims fail.  This is mainly due to the lack of understanding by contractors, subcontractors or suppliers of the basis of a construction claim they wish to pursue, the importance of contemporary record keeping, getting drawn into design development and local authority approval processes which often cause delays to projects.

Speaking on the importance of sharing information, Kapapa stated, “As a provider of professional management consultancy services, QGS appreciates the increasing role Spanish businesses are playing in Qatar’s growing infrastructure development.  We are pleased to join our Spanish Business Council colleagues to share our organisation’s industry knowledge, discuss the trending issues affecting Qatar’s construction sector and provide proactive solutions to ensure projects proceed smoothly”.

QGS is acknowledged as one of the leading management consultants dedicated to serving the interests of the international construction and engineering industries.  In addition to regular industry presentations, QGS is also actively involved in the presentation of training courses and mentoring programmes.
