Thomas McGeachy – Senior Contractual/Commercial Consultant
Thomas is an experienced construction industry professional working with multi-national contractors in Director level positions reporting to board level management teams. His experience, gained over the past 44 years, the last ten in Qatar, includes strong legal and commercial awareness and analytical skills, expertise in drafting contractual and commercial correspondence pre and post-tender memorandum of understandings, letters of intent, sub-contract, supply and service agreements, parent company guarantees, Performance Bonds, joint venture agreements, confidentiality agreements, raising delay and disruption notifications, pricing, agreeing variation work, preparation and negotiation of extension of time and prolongation cost claims.
He also has a broad range of experience in the engineering and construction procurement process from selecting and issuing invitations to tender, preparation, review and approval of internal bid summaries and negotiation of commercial terms. He also has the proven ability to robustly manage the preparation and analysis of accurate cost/value reconciliations, project summaries and ‘ad hoc’ executive management reports.
Thomas has an HNC in Quantity Surveying and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Arbitration. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).
