With over 35 years of experience, Executive Consultant, Shaun Whitlock is a former practising Barrister with significant experience of, and contacts within, the UK construction industry with a proven ability in advocacy.
He is a specialist in the preparation of contractual claims, negotiating settlements and tribunal appearances and experienced in preparing complex written submissions and the presenting of evidence and applications in tribunals for projects in the UK and the Middle East. Shaun’s early career was as a quantity surveyor working on large-scale construction contracts throughout the UK which provided him with the skills to deal with challenging and contentious situations whilst remaining calm and able to meet employer’s objectives.
Shaun has a BSc (Hons) Degree in Building Design Technology and Management, an MSc Construction Law and Arbitration, a Call to the Bar (Middle Temple), a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), a Diploma in Quantity Surveying and a Diploma in Adjudication from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He also has completed the BPP Higher Rights of Audience (Criminal), BPP Higher Rights of Audience (Civil) and BPP – Bar Vocational Course, RICS Admission as Chartered Surveyor in 1999 with RICS Final Professional Examinations obtained in 1990.
